The aim of this course is to introduce jobseekers to the importance of communication skills in work environment, to let them acquire specific techniques for internal and external communication in work environment, and to promote the central role of communication in building positive relationship with co-workers, customers and stakeholders in tourism sector.
At the end of the course, a certificate of attendance will be issued after completing the evaluation questionnaire.

Contents

In tourism, communication becomes even more important because it is a very complex sector, essentially based on daily relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders for the design, development and delivery of services/products.
So, when approaching to tourism careers, communication competences and skills are considered one of the main distinctive factor in the selection of job candidates.
It is necessary to be able to communicate within an organizational and work environment, to know how to work in a team, actively acting to solve problems, design solutions, achieving collective results. It is also fundamental to be able to manage conflicts, negotiating solutions and resources, both inside the working group and with customers.

Methodology

The course is based on an active learning approach in a virtual and multimedia context. Students will be responsible for their own learning activity, and as such, the context of e-learning would be as user-friendly, visual, dynamic and clear as possible. For this reason, resources have been designed in a multimedia format as far as possible and have been explained and set out in a very practical way. Learning contexts and case examples have been also centred on professional careers in tourism. The module also provides to build in networking skills as a key learning outcome.

Graduated in Business and Economics at the University of Perugia, he has been working for more than 15 years in the communication and commercial areas of SMEs, as well as trainer of communication disciplines in vocational training. 
First he was a Key Account and a Trade Marketing Manager, then he works as Sales Director; now, he works as Senior business consultant in several Italian Food companies.
